The United States Cancer Statistics (USCS) series provides official Federal statistics on cancer burden in the nation and its state and local communities. The National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Program of Cancer Registries and National Center for Health Statistics, collaborate with the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries to annually produce USCS. With the goal of 100% U.S. population coverage, high quality data on cancer incidence and mortality are provided for various population subgroups such as racial and ethnic groups. This session will provide background information on the publication, including the infrastructure for collaboration among Federal and other partners. In addition, we will present current data from the series.
