Chatsworth Hospice-Comfort,Love,Compassion

Objective:An approach to patient care who have cancer that is progressive ,when all modalities of treatment have failed to stop the progress of the disease.

Methods:Retrospective study of patients treated at the Chatsworth Hospice.What problems they have encountered,what medication they were on?, what treatment they were given before coming to the hospice?Was there an holistic approach to their management?How long did they live from the time of diagnosis and the quality of life they have experienced?

Results:The Chatsworth Regional Hospice provides total care to patients with advanced cancer improving the quality of life of patients who have a short life expectancy using an holistic care team approach. Patients requests were always met using their approach of care with comfort, love and compassion. My Presentation be will as follows: 1.To illustrate disease progression and the manner in which she was comforted I will present a case history in this regard. 2.To illustrate love, I will present a patient whose last requests were met. 3.The third case presentation will illustrate the compassion with which the Chatsworth Regional Hospice staff take care of their patients .
