Improving Patient Safety for Cancer Patients

Objective: Technology continues to advance particularly in the area of Healthcare Applications Management Systems. Patient safety related to cancer treatment remains a high priority. Therefore, utilizing a computer module to maintain a state of continual readiness and assuring patient safety will greatly enhance safety outcomes for the patient.

Background of Study: Healthcare Applications Management System is a revolutionary computer and internet-based toolset, which will greatly simplify the demanding process of healthcare accreditation and assist organizations worldwide in maintaining a state of readiness and assuring patient safety.

Methods: The module is currently being evaluated at the University of Florida Shands Cancer Center, Jacksonville, Florida to determine effectiveness for the user to access, track and measure standards on a perpetual basis.

Results: Improve the quality and safety of patient care, streamline and harmonize healthcare activities, increase operating efficiency and profitability, and enhance public reputation.

Conclusion: Utilizing a stand alone computer and web-based module can greatly improve patient safety for cancer patients.
