Results: Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Ban galore is a regional cancer Institute at Karnataka state in India treating approximately 15000 new patients per year. It is a tertiary referral centre with state of the art facilities for cancer treatment, research, rehabilitation and palliative care. 85% of the patients present to the hospital in advanced stage of disease. This is a prospective study to record the presence of pain, its characteristics and probable causes in out patients on their first registration over one month period. The results of the study will be presented at the conference.
