| This session will help to define the key global scientific and advanced technology issues and initiatives that will impact cancer and other chronic diseases in the next decade and beyond. Panelists will discuss some of the global issues that must be addressed in areas such as connectivity, information management, and policy in order to optimize the development and integration of science and advanced technologies in creating a new generation of evidence-based interventions for cancer. The session will focus on cancer as an international health care problem requiring a proactive strategy of post-genomics technology development and deployment that exercises great care not to further widen the “health care divide,” especially in the developing world. | |||
