The Nightingales Project:Engaging Nurses as Tobacco Control Activists

The Nightingales are a nurse led volunteer effort formed to "talk back" to big tobacco. The Nightingales aim is to bear witness to the pain and suffering that that families and patients endure when combating a tobacco related illnesses To date the Nightingales have gone to the Altria shareholder meetings in 2004, 2005 and to both Altria and RJ Reynolds in 2006. This presentation will review the latest news from the frontlines of the shareholders meetings and will provide strategies on how to combat Big Tobacco.
