Tobacco Control Policy Advocacy in Communities of Color: Lessons from PATH

Makani Themba Nixon, The Praxis Project, 1750 Columbia Rd, NW, Second Floor, Washington, DC 20009

Nationwide and beyond, communities of color are engaging a broader social justice framework from which they are building powerful initiatives with significant impact on tobacco related problems. The session will examine case studies on lessons learned and group discussion to examine the collective experience on how these approaches could be more effectively replicated and how funding, evaluation and other structures and methodologies should be adapted to support this work.
