The 13th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health

This session will address key elements for drafting comprehensive, evidence informed tobacco control legisation incorporating:best practices from country examples; - FCTC requirements; lessons learned from other countries' experiences; lessons learned from drafting in other fields; and technical drafting principles to avoid common loopholes.

The session also will explore with participants the drafting capacities and needs in their countries and will engage participants in strategizing how to address legislative drafting capacity gaps on a regional basis.
