Educate, Motivate, Advocate: Global Youth Advocacy 101, Experiences from Nigeria

Moshood Abolore Folorunsho, HND, MSW, Administration and Programmes, Educare Trust, Goshen Building, Coca-Cola Area, Sango, Ibadan, 234, Nigeria

Are you a youth advocate, looking to learn more about how to collaborate with other creative activists around the world? Or an adult advisor, hoping to find advice on how to support youth empowerment and advocacy programs? Well, you're in the right place. Talk to the experts – youth advocates who are energizing the global tobacco control movement.

Listen up and be ready to participate as these young leaders share their experiences from the global fight against big tobacco. From lessons learned, to successful strategies, and the most trying challenges, these young leaders will help you become a better and more creative advocate as you hear their inspiring first-hand experiences, and participate in a hands-on interactive workshop that will provide you with the “how-to's” of youth advocacy from the source. Youth advocates from around the world will also join these five representatives as members of the workshop audience and will assist in facilitating the discussion and sharing additional examples of successful youth efforts.
