Methods: The anonymous survey study among 2348 students, aged 16-19 years. The average age was 17.2_+1.05. The rate of questionnaire returns was 96%. The following factors were analysed sex,age school,BMI,parent education,company of smokers, initiate age of smoking , no. of cigarette smoking per day, expenditure connected with smoking, do parents allow children to smoke in their presence and subjective health ailments connected with smoking. The following statistic procedure procedure health ailments identify factors that influence smoking of tobacco, test of homogeneity x2, pareto analysis and multivariation discrimatory analysis, 5% reference error was assumed with signifies assignied at p< 0.05. software base statistic 6.0 software.
Results: prevalence of tobacco smoking in selected group was 28.35%. intentive to give up smoking were declared by 67.46%. statical analysis revealed the correlation between smoking and sex,age,school,wealth status,BMI, time spending among smokers and smoking by parents or sibling (p<0.05). This results shows that special educational program showing early negative consequences of tobacco smoking or health should be presented to young people.
