Objective: To deepen people's understanding on the harm of tobacco in the whole society. To construct healthy�Ano smoking�Aexcellent society environment. To enhance ability of professional contingent in chronic and noncommunicable disease control and prevention network in the whole province.

Methods: Striving to policy supporting from the government. Establishing Henan provincial organizing committee of �e Quit & Win in 2004',making a telephone number to public on media. Holding a meeting, arranging the activity, training skills. Uniting multi-sectors to organizing the �eQuit & Win', implementing multi-cooperative forms.Every prefecture the organizing committee was charge of local competitive actives. There were multi-forms of publicity and mobilization , provincial medias playing a leading role.There are multi-routes of entering one's name for the competition.

Results: The personalities of various circles responded actively to �eQuit & Win in 2004'. There were a number of telephone calls for consulting and entering.There were also female smokers actively entering. Many students and teachers took enthusiastically part in competitive in some middle schools and colleges. A bicycle team who made up the old people also joined the action. Several smokers for many years wrote poems to express cessation determination in the deep night. A group of prizes had been set up cooperating with media together. Quantity of persons joined the competition in Henan province was first in the whole country, include 7378 persons entering name by CDC network, 412 by internet, 6500 by Puyang city government.
