The 13th World Conference on Tobacco OR HealthBuilding capacity for a tobacco-free worldJuly 12-15, 2006, Washington, DC, USA |
Objective: Reduce second hand smoking.
Methods: Poem
Results: I am your faithful dog I am always the first member of the family To greet you at the door My magical nose Reveals to me all your evening activities Such as a visit to the restaurant, alcohol, tobacco – smoking or even sex Tell me any member of your family Who knows your private activities as I do And again tell me who is very silent about the matter You regard me as steel – chewing factory at your home That is why you often only throw bones to me for food All you desire from me is my faithful barking At your enemies every night – Wo – wo – wo. You often say, “ What else does one get from a dog? Secrets I see at home during your absence Are some of the secrets I will one day go to my grave with My safety and good health at work Is all meaningless to you That is why you often smoke tobacco in my face As if I do not have lungs too to catch cancer I am surprised to see you humans selling Death to each other in packets labeled Cigarette! Allow me to thank God who created everything in its place He gave me a nose to smell, and no mouth to speak For had all my mid – night woos – woos been words Could there be any stable marriage on this planet But I am still your dog Your faithful dog at home.
