Tools for Children and adolescents for the Indian subcontinent: “Evils of Tobacco” CD With 200 million men, 40 million women and 5 million children addicted to tobacco products, India is a burgeoning market for the tobacco companies. The tobacco habits are unique and the affordability of smoking cessation medications beyond the reach of most users. Due to the widespread use of chewing tobacco, India leads the world in oral cancer.This CD was has a 15 minute self running video and 180 power point slides that cover all aspects of tobacco use including Tobacco habits, Health effects , Effects on women and children and How to quit - in a multimedia format. Available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Urdu, Tamil and Gujarati languages, this CD can be used to educate over 700 million people in their native language in India and neighboring countries. CD has been successfully used by outreach programs to educate over 100,000 children. ACCP/Chest foundation presentation Tools for children: “Ant E Tobacco” Cartoon CD, Cartoon Book and Cartoon Coloring book: Available in English, Spanish, Telugu, Urdu: This program has a 12 minute cartoon CD , a cartoon book and a coloring book, that convey anti tobacco message through lovable characters in a colony of ants. This program has been used in USA and India ACCP/Chest foundation presentation Tools for Adolescents: CD “Tambakku: Zakhm ke kayi roop” Tobacco – poison in many forms: CD created for teenagers in Hindi language (Spoken by 500 million) “Pratham” presentation
