Strong No Smoking Laws and How to Implement Them

Objective: To provide attendees with background information and useful experience and recommendations on developing and implementing smoke free legislation.

Methods: The laws passage in Washington state required the development in a short period of time of a communication, education and enforcement plan. We will share these plans and materials and the process that went into developing them.

Results: Advocates will learn valuable lesson about how to write legislation or policies that are fully developed and take careful consideration of implementation.
