Objective: The presenting individuals/organizations have worked to study, track, and counter the tobacco industry's targeted marketing campaigns in and around their respective communities.

Methods: Their work includes ongoing monitoring of advertisements, promotions, and special events. In addition, each presenter has used a network of advocates from various segments of their community to support their work.

Results: As a result, they have been able to call attention to unacceptable practices by the industry and in many instances, organize their communities to fight back.
